Role Summary
Director, Regional Distribution & Logistics (Pharmaceuticals) responsible for building and leading the regional distribution and logistics organization, aligning with Global Supply Chain, and designing and executing the regional strategy to ensure product availability and on-time delivery.

Responsibilities
- Leads and provides oversight the Regional Distribution & Logistics organization: Defines the organization, sets objectives, develops team skills and performance, and fosters a supply chain culture aligned with the companyβΓΓ΄s strategy.
- Develops regional distribution & logistics strategic and operating plans: anticipates future needs aligned with business strategy and commercial goals, defines the operating model and required partnerships, and presents recommendations for alignment with Global Supply Chain
- Develops and manages regional downstream supply chain processes: works closely with Global Supply Chain to ensure alignment of objectives and processes, leads the implementation of regional distribution operations and systems, and ensures their consistency, continuous improvement, and efficiency.
- Provides functional expertise and executes functional responsibilities: Defines operational rules and standards, oversees planning and partner performance, ensures S&OP process adherence and market insight communication, while effectively managing critical business decisions.
- Engages with new product process development, global supply chain and external supply chain partners at an early stage to define and develop regional supply chain requirements for new launches: anticipates product portfolio evolution, defines volume and service needs, designs the future distribution network, coordinates strategic decisions, and oversees the implementation of regional transformation plans.
- Directs the continuous improvement of the planning processes in line with the future operating model and supply chain transformation plan: Sets continuous improvement priorities and targets, manages related resources and budgets, and monitors progress while addressing gaps and risks.
- Contributes and supports commercial launch readiness projects: Supports serialization and ERP implementation projects for the US supply chain and contributes to US commercial launch readiness.
Qualifications
- Master Degree or equivalent (preferably in a scientific or business management discipline) with specialization in logistics and/or supply chain
- >10 years Supply Chain experience in downstream Logistics and Distribution, preferably pharmaceutical
- >8 years project transformation experience
- >5 years management experience
- >5 years budgeting and managing relationship with logistics service providers and wholesalers
- Deep knowledge of pharmaceutical distribution & logistics (e.g. Specialty Pharmacy, Retail Pharmacy)
- Knowledge of international trades and customs
- Knowledge of supply chain technology and logistics systems (ERP, TMS, WMS, CMSβΓΒΆ)
- Project Management experience
- Process Improvement program definition leadership experience
- Strong leadership and change management skills, able to motivate teams, communicate effectively across diverse environments, and foster collaboration
- Decisive and customer-focused, with a strong drive for results, cost efficiency, and continuous improvement in a fast-evolving environment
- Structured and organized, with solid financial acumen, capable of managing priorities independently while ensuring clear reporting and accountability.
