Job Description
The Director, Project Management is responsible for leading one or more complex and/or high-profile cross-functional development teams, ensuring delivery of project objectives across research, development, and commercial functions. Ensures efficient execution, cross-functional alignment, successful delivery of development programs, and robust governance and informed decision-making at senior leadership levels.
Education & Experience
- Bachelorโs degree in a scientific discipline with 12+ years of relevant experience; or Masterโs degree (MS, MBA) with 10+ years; or Doctorate (PhD, PharmD, DVM, MD) with 6+ years.
- Minimum 7 years participating in cross-functional project management activities across stages of drug development.
- Line management supervisory experience desirable.
- Prior experience managing commercial teams preferred.
- Strong scientific background (ability to engage effectively across technical and strategic topics).
Key Job Responsibilities
- Manage one or more highly complex/high-profile project teams in Inflammation Therapeutic Area (TA) or other TAs.
- Partner with project leaders to ensure effective team meetings and execution between meetings.
- Direct project communications; keep stakeholders informed of activities, status, and risks.
- Organize project management support across functional areas; attend subteam meetings; facilitate ad hoc working groups.
- Develop and maintain Integrated Project Plans (IPPs) aligned on scope, timelines, resources.
- Ensure execution complies with established processes, policies, and standards.
- Identify/manage risks and issues; implement mitigations/contingencies.
- Contribute to research, development, and commercial project strategies.
- Prepare materials for strategic decision-making; represent the project team at DRC and other governance forums.
- Lead Global Program Management (GPM) initiatives/working groups.
- May supervise one or more Project Management Associates; may substitute for/function as a Project Lead.

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $226,185.00 - $292,710.00.
- May be eligible for discretionary annual bonus; discretionary stock-based long-term incentives; paid time off; benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
