Operations
Responsibilities:
- Lead large, global, strategic projects/programs through cross-functional teams.
- Provide corporate guidance on strategic planning, market demand/trends, strategic opportunities, business needs, technological advances, and legal requirements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable policies/procedures; drive quality and effectiveness through sound design, early risk assessments, and fallback strategies.
- Manage multiple concurrent global projects/programs; prioritize among them based on business needs and customer strategic needs.
- Lead teams in using PM tools/techniques to stay within budget and achieve project/organizational objectives; develop project/program strategies aligned to customer business objectives.
- Define future vision aligned with corporate goals; lead/contribute to long-term business and organizational strategies.
- Integrate approaches across projects/disciplines; mentor and advise senior management; manage global teams/task forces to develop procedures and standards.
- Anticipate trends/challenges; present to executive management to obtain buy-in; act as spokesperson for major initiatives; improve project design/outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Engineering/Science (or closely related) or equivalent experience; 18+ years significant engineering and/or operational experience; post-graduate degree desired.
- Recognized excellence in global project management (breadth/depth).
- Strong collaboration with diverse internal/external stakeholders; tactful communication orally/in writing/presentations.
- Negotiation/interpersonal skills to reconcile differences.
- Technical background in healthcare, medical devices, biological, or pharmaceutical companies.
- Financial systems competency; project accounting experience; procurement & contracting process understanding/management.
- Formal Project Management training (preferred).
