Director, Procurement Strategic Sourcing

Role: Strategic Sourcing Director to lead and develop Insmed's enterprise procurement in a biopharma environment. Objectives include driving cost efficiencies, supplier excellence, and contract value across R&D, Commercial, Medical, and G&A functions. Responsibilities encompass defining sourcing strategies aligned with corporate and pipeline priorities, leading category management (clinical, GxP, G&A), managing end-to-end sourcing processes, negotiating high-value contracts, and overseeing supplier risk and performance management. Additional focus on team development, procurement policy enhancement, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards. Qualifications: Bachelor's in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or Life Sciences; 10+ years in procurement with at least 4 in leadership, preferably within biopharma, biotech, or life sciences industries. Deep expertise in indirect/service categories, contract law, and procurement technologies like Oracle or Agiloft. Certifications such as CPSM or CPM are advantageous. High-value biopharma specifics: experience with GxP requirements, clinical, commercial, and G&A spend categories, and CRO/CDMO contracting preferred. Stakeholder engagement spans senior leadership across R&D, Commercial, and Medical. Work setup: hybrid role based in Bridgewater, NJ, with approximately 10% domestic travel.
