Role: Lead the development and implementation of product sustainability strategies for Takeda, focusing on articulating environmental performance and compliance in customer tenders. Responsibilities include partnering with cross-functional teams (Regulatory, Legal, Medical, Commercial, Sustainability) to govern product claims, establish data requirements, and ensure evidentiary traceability. Lead the design of governance frameworks and develop credible, technical narratives translating assessments (e.g., life cycle, emissions) into stakeholder-ready content. Collaborate on integrating sustainability claims into brand and medical materials, monitor regulatory trends, and provide training on sustainability narratives. Engage with external partners to benchmark and enhance credibility, while ensuring ethical standards and risk mitigation against greenwashing. Qualifications: Bachelorβs degree in a scientific or related field; 8+ years in pharma, biotech, or regulated industries with experience in sustainability, ESG, or product claims governance; proven project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred: advanced degrees (MSc, MPH, MBA, PharmD), familiarity with environmental impact assessments, life cycle analysis, and industry-specific regulatory/promotional standards. High-value specifics include focus on pharmaceuticals in a regulated environment, product claims governance, and sustainability in healthcare. Location: Lexington, MA. Work setup: full-time, on-site.
