Role Summary

Director, Pipeline Insights on the Commercial Effectiveness team to help expand what’s possible for patients with serious diseases. You will lead the development and communication of actionable insights to shape commercial strategy for pipeline assets, partnering with Marketing, Analytics, Forecasting, Finance, and Market Access.

Responsibilities

  • Identify / anticipate key business questions to inform projects that will deliver actionable insights for the commercial team, through collaboration and partnership across the organization
  • Design research plans to address key business questions, inform strategy development, and support portfolio planning
  • Lead market research projects, including defining objectives, overseeing execution, interpreting results, and communicating findings clearly, ensuring compliance with internal policies
  • Manage external research vendors—including scoping, RFP processes, methodology approval, and budget oversight
  • Identify / summarize key insights through integration of market research results with secondary data findings in partnership with the analytics team
  • Translate complex data into compelling narratives that drive strategic decision-making
  • Ensure cross-functional communication and alignment to maximize impact of insights
  • Develop expertise in relevant therapeutic areas and assets in development to ensure accurate data interpretation
  • Become a trusted partner to members of the Commercial Effectiveness team and cross-functional teams

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree with 7 years of experience in strategic consulting, market research, or business development in the biopharmaceutical industry
  • Required: Experience within the US market
  • Required: Proven record of success through teamwork and execution
  • Required: Ability to identify and understand business opportunities and develop a research plan that will provide actionable insights
  • Required: Inquisitive nature with ability to dig deeper into the why behind data and trends, and synthesize this into a concise output
  • Required: Proven ability to align diverse viewpoints around strategic recommendations
  • Required: High proficiency in MS Office (Excel/PowerPoint/Word)
  • Required: Strong and agile team player able to adapt and execute based on evolving business needs
  • Required: Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Required: Highly organized with attention to detail, clarity, accuracy, and conciseness
  • Preferred: Degree in business, marketing, statistics, or related field
  • Preferred: MBA, MS or other advanced degree
  • Preferred: Rare disease / specialty / respiratory experience
  • Preferred: Experience with life cycle management / early pipeline

Additional Requirements

  • Where You’ll Work: Fully remote role; occasional travel for team meetings or events
  • Travel Requirements: Occasional domestic travel (approximately 15%)
