Role Summary
Director, Pipeline Insights on the Commercial Effectiveness team to help expand possibilities for patients with serious diseases. Lead development and communication of actionable insights to shape commercial strategy for pipeline assets, partnering with Marketing, Analytics, Forecasting, Finance, and Market Access.
Responsibilities
- Identify and anticipate key business questions to inform projects delivering actionable insights for the commercial team, through cross-organizational collaboration
- Design research plans to address key business questions, inform strategy development, and support portfolio planning
- Lead market research projects: define objectives, oversee execution, interpret results, and communicate findings clearly while complying with internal policies
- Manage external research vendors, including scoping, RFP processes, methodology approval, and budget oversight
- Identify and summarize key insights by integrating market research results with secondary data in partnership with analytics
- Translate complex data into compelling narratives that drive strategic decision-making
- Ensure cross-functional communication and alignment to maximize impact of insights
- Develop expertise in relevant therapeutic areas and assets in development to ensure accurate data interpretation
- Become a trusted partner to members of the Commercial Effectiveness team and cross-functional teams
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelorβs degree with 7 years of experience in strategic consulting, market research, or business development in the biopharmaceutical industry (mix of education and experience considered)
- Required: Experience within the US market
- Required: Proven record of success through teamwork and execution
- Required: Ability to identify and understand business opportunities and develop a research plan that yields actionable insights
- Required: Inquisitive nature with ability to dig into the why behind data and trends, and synthesize into clear output
- Required: Proven ability to align diverse viewpoints around strategic recommendations
- Required: High proficiency in MS Office (Excel / PowerPoint / Word)
- Required: Strong and agile team player able to adapt and execute based on evolving business needs
- Required: Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Required: Highly organized with attention to detail, clarity, accuracy, and conciseness
- Preferred: Degree in business, marketing, statistics, or related field
- Preferred: MBA, MS or other advanced degree
- Preferred: Rare disease / specialty / respiratory experience
- Preferred: Experience with life cycle management / early pipeline

Additional Requirements
- Travel: This role requires occasional domestic travel (approximately 15%)
