The Position
Director of Pharmacometrics and Clinical Pharmacology to provide strategic and scientific leadership across clinical development programs for Arrowhead’s siRNA therapeutics.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as pharmacometrics and clinical pharmacology lead across multiple development programs.
- Lead model-informed drug development (population PK/PD, exposure-response, translational modeling, dose optimization, interpretation of clinical/translational data).
- Develop/support clinical pharmacology strategies for first-in-human, dose escalation/optimization, PoC, drug-drug interactions, food effect, and special populations.
- Provide scientific oversight for PK/PD analyses and modeling (internal and via external CROs).
- Contribute to global regulatory submissions and health authority interactions (INDs, CTAs, NDA/BLA, briefing documents, agency Q&A).
- Author/review clinical pharmacology content for IBs, clinical protocols, CSRs, and submission documents.
- Collaborate with Clinical Development, Translational Sciences, Regulatory Affairs, Biometrics/Biomarkers, Medical Affairs, and Program Leadership.
- Present quantitative analyses, strategies, and recommendations; maintain expertise in evolving methods/guidance/trends.
Requirements:
- PhD or equivalent in Pharmacokinetics, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related field.
- 12+ years in pharmacometrics and/or clinical pharmacology; experience with late-stage programs and global regulatory submissions.
- Deep population PK/PD modeling and simulation; proficiency in NONMEM.
- Strong exposure-response, translational modeling, dose optimization, and model-informed drug development knowledge.
- Regulatory interaction experience (FDA, EMA, other authorities).
- Highly desirable: PBPK, QSP, mechanistic, or systems pharmacology approaches.
- Preferred: oligonucleotide/RNAi/rare disease/liver-targeted or other complex biologics experience.
- Ability to lead independently and influence cross-functional matrix teams; excellent communication.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with PBPK/PD or QSP modeling.
Compensation/Benefits:
- Wisconsin pay range: $200,000–$230,000; California pay range: $230,000–$255,000. Competitive salaries and an excellent benefit package.
