Director, Pharma, Incentives and Awards

Role: Lead the strategy, design, governance, and transformation of field incentive compensation and awards programs for AstraZeneca's BBU portfolio. Primary objectives include motivating compliant performance, enhancing payout transparency, supporting commercial priorities, and enabling better decision-making through analytics. Responsibilities encompass translating commercial strategies into incentive plans, managing annual and special incentive programs, delivering performance analytics, leading a team of four, and collaborating with senior leaders across Sales, Marketing, Finance, HR, Legal, and Compliance. The role also involves chairing the Incentive Compensation Governance Committee and overseeing awards programs like Circle of Excellence, with an emphasis on modernization and process automation. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with 5+ years in pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare commercial functions, including direct experience in incentive compensation, sales operations, or related areas. Proven ability to analyze performance data, influence senior stakeholders, and lead cross-functional teams. Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree, 7+ years of experience in complex commercial structures—such as rare disease or specialty care—and experience with incentive systems, analytics platforms, or vendor management.
