Director, Patient Services Operations

Role: Director of Patient Services Operations responsible for designing and managing the patient support model pre- and post-commercial launch. Responsibilities include leading the patient services hub, overseeing benefits verification, prior authorization, and onboarding workflows; managing vendor performance, program compliance, and operational readiness. Accountable for implementing affordability/access programs like copay and patient assistance, monitoring utilization and budget, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Collaborates across functions—Trade, Market Access, Medical, Legal—to deliver integrated patient experiences. Develops KPIs, manages data reporting, and translates patient journey insights into operational improvements. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required; 8+ years in biopharma, with 5+ years in patient services, hub operations, or specialty pharmacy/access roles; experience launching or managing patient support programs for specialty, pediatric, or rare disease products. Deep knowledge of US reimbursement (Medicare, Medicaid, commercial), benefits verification, prior authorization, and compliance frameworks (HIPAA, OIG). Experience with patient services platforms and vendor management essential. Preferred: experience in biotech pre-launch phases, pediatric support models, non-commercial distribution, and vendor transition projects.
