Purpose
As the Director, Organizational Design, partner with leaders and teams to drive organizational design efforts throughout AbbVie to increase performance in a quickly evolving business.
Critical responsibilities include influencing stakeholders, developing OE capability in others, and consulting on, designing, and delivering solutions in organizational design, strategy, team effectiveness, culture, and change leadership.
Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise and Function-level organizational effectiveness work aligned to the strategic roadmap, critical capabilities, and top-leader performance.
- Consult with senior business and HR leaders to identify opportunities to increase leader and team performance; recommend, design, and deliver solutions that produce performance outcomes.
- Influence and guide HR partners and business leaders on focus areas, prioritizing needs and best-fit solutions.
- Advise and develop organizational effectiveness colleagues on new areas of work and complex projects.
- Facilitate live/virtual solutions (coaching conversations to multi-day engagements) for in-line and matrix teams.
- Design, develop, and execute new OE offerings and materials to enhance OE capability.
- Recommend strategies that fit culture and integrate across the organization.
- Coach senior leaders on organizational effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (required); Master’s Degree (a plus).
- Significant experience in internal consulting; global influencing/collaboration with leaders; instructional design and facilitation; organizational design principles and application; team effectiveness principles, design, and facilitation.
- Leadership experience driving performance in times of change and knowledge of developing others and creating high-performing teams.
