POSITION SUMMARY:
- Formulate an integrated vision and strategy for communicating effectively with the investor community to drive positive brand recognition and strong investor interest.

KEY ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with C-suite and product teams to develop and execute investor communications strategy (quarterly filings, conference calls, investor conferences, roadshows).
- Lead a comprehensive strategic/tactical communications plan for investor relations objectives.
- Ensure effective, consistent corporate communications and keep strategy/progress top of mind.
- Partner with Finance and Legal to ensure investor-facing communications are robust, timely, accurate, and compelling.
- Develop key messages, FAQs, and talking points for investor/analyst events.
- Train and advise spokespeople for media/press and industry presentations; prepare briefing materials.
- Build relationships with analysts, investors, media, influencers, and partners; serve as an on-record spokesperson.
- Partner with media/PR agency/external partners to develop and execute campaigns; monitor brand activity.
- Manage proactive and responsive communications, including crisis communications and rapid response.
- Track competitor and peer company announcements.

PREFERRED EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline (Communications/Marketing or related with significant biotech experience). Master’s degree a plus.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Senior Director: 10+ years PR (prefer investor relations), corporate communications, or media; 8+ years management/leadership.
- Director: 7–9 years PR (prefer investor relations), corporate communications, or media; 5–7 years management/leadership.
- Biotech investor relations/corporate communications or sell-side analyst experience; track record supporting financing, conferences, and product launches.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Cross-functional leadership through complexity; influence multiple stakeholders.
- Executive presence; strategic thinking with detail focus.
- Prioritize and execute competing priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong written/verbal communication; tailor messages to diverse audiences; agile, sound judgment.
- Willingness to “roll-up your sleeves” from strategy to execution.

COMPENSATION/OTHER:
- Salary range: $220,000–$300,000 annually; annual bonus opportunity.
- Eligible for Lyell’s Equity Incentive Plan.
