Director of Software Delivery Excellence

Role: Lead software delivery excellence within Bayer’s medical device software organization, focusing on agile transformation, process improvement, and organizational capability building. Responsibilities: coach and develop software leads and scrum masters; implement agile best practices; enhance delivery predictability, metrics, and transparency; foster continuous improvement culture; and influence cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality, and regulatory, to optimize software development for SaMD and SiMD products. Requirements: Bachelor’s in computer science or related field; extensive leadership experience in software development, particularly in regulated medical device environments; proven success in agile transformations, with expertise in Scrum, Lean, DevOps, and metrics; strong communication and influencing skills; experience managing global teams in complex delivery models. Preferred qualifications: Master’s/MBA, 10+ years of leadership, SAFe/PMP certification, Six Sigma, and deep understanding of medical device software development lifecycle.
