What Youβll Do
- Lead AI enablement of Vaccine R&D operations: define/deliver AI for experiment tracking, documentation, handoffs, and operational reporting; automate manual/repetitive work to improve speed, quality, consistency, and compliance.
- Strengthen operational decision-making: build predictive/optimization/scenario models for resource planning, capacity, timeline forecasting, and risk trade-offs; create dashboards/decision-support tools.
- Enable regulated, inspection-ready AI systems: design aligned with GxP, data integrity, and audit readiness (deviation monitoring, CAPA trending, documentation completeness, data genealogy); establish governance (validation, versioning, explainability, monitoring, lifecycle management).
- Optimize development planning execution: AI-enabled milestone tracking, dependency management, execution risk forecasting; lead process optimization/reengineering to reduce cycle times.
- Engineer and scale production-grade AI platforms: deploy governed ML/analytics pipelines; scale on cloud and/or HPC with security, reliability, and integration.
- Partner and lead across disciplines: bridge technical and business stakeholders; mentor engineers; champion MLOps/software engineering/lifecycle best practices.
What Youβll Bring
Basic Qualifications
- PhD (5+ years) or Masterβs (7+ years) in CS/ML/Data Science/Software Eng/AI or related; 2+ years AI/ML in a relevant domain.
- Predictive modeling, optimization, automation, generative AI, and ML system design; strong Python and PyTorch/TensorFlow; experience scaling in cloud/HPC.
- Experience in process-heavy R&D/clinical operations/regulated environments; cross-functional collaboration; clear communication.
Preferred Qualifications
- Life sciences/pharma/R&D/clinical operations or other regulated industries; financial/business experience (budgets, forecasting, vendor management, portfolio analytics).
Work Location Assignment
- Hybrid; commute and work on-site ~2.5 days/week.
Benefits/Compensation (if eligible)
- Base salary: $176,600β$294,300; bonus target 20% of base; 401(k) with matching + additional retirement contribution; paid vacation/holidays/personal days; caregiver/parental and medical leave; medical/dental/vision.
