Role Summary

This is a field-based and remote opportunity supporting a Priority Accounts team in an assigned geography. The Director, Neuroscience Priority Accounts leads the regional priority account team to meet and exceed objectives across the Neuroscience group, developing and executing the Regional Priority Accounts customer engagement strategy in support of disease area strategies. By understanding the needs of key priority accounts and the local healthcare ecosystem, they create a frictionless experience for accounts and support patient access and education. The role also leads a team of Priority Account Managers, guiding cross-functional account planning and ensuring aligned resource allocation with integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the needs of the customer at all levels from departments to C-suite, using insights to anticipate trends and articulate business priorities to deliver outcomes.
  • Craft strategic approaches to further company goals, catering to the account's interests and needs, and foster key customer relationships that enhance interaction with the account.
  • Manage and lead strategy and execution by coordinating collaboration among headquarters, accounts, and regional leadership teams.
  • Collaborate with account executives at the C-suite and D-suite levels, acting as the main neuroscience contact for account partners to facilitate exchanges with executives and headquarters.
  • Foster teamwork and lead regional priority accounts across Customer Engagement teams for the neuroscience portfolio to involve multiple functional areas and solve problems.
  • Own account performance with a performance-driven mindset, seeking opportunities to impact demand generation and achieving account performance.
  • Facilitate efficient communication between the company and key accounts, coordinating internally and predicting strategic changes that align with objectives to inspire teams.
  • Lead a team of Priority Account Managers to drive product pull-through in targeted accounts with accountability and resource alignment, coaching and supporting growth and ensuring adherence to ethics and policies.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor‚Äôs degree from a 4-year college or university.
  • Required: 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or similarly structured industries with large, geographically dispersed sales teams; experience from other complex sales environments is acceptable if strong field leadership and customer engagement are central.
  • Required: 2+ years of first-line leadership, demonstrating strategic thinking and an enterprise mindset within related roles.
  • Required: 2+ years translating strategy into actionable plans and delivering measurable results in account management.
  • Required: 2+ years leading cross-functional projects requiring national alignment and collaboration.
  • Required: Recent US experience (within last 5 years) with deep understanding of the US healthcare ecosystem.
  • Required: Proven success in frontline sales and product launches, with strong business acumen, healthcare ecosystem expertise, digital engagement proficiency, and ability to thrive in complex, matrixed environments while building high-performing teams.
  • Required: Residence within the region or within a reasonable commuting distance (about 100 miles from the region border). Ability to travel 60‚Äì80% across a broad geography; must have a valid driver‚Äôs license.
  • Preferred: Deep expertise in neuroscience account management and experience guiding large teams and enterprise-level initiatives.
  • Preferred: Ability to build partnerships across healthcare systems, from Academic Medical Centers to C-suite decision makers, navigating broader economic forces influencing clinical and operational strategies.

Education

  • Bachelor‚Äôs degree from a 4-year college or university.

  • Must have a fully valid and unrestricted driver‚Äôs license; driving is an essential function of the role.
  • Willingness to travel up to 60‚Äì80% across a broad geography.
