The Director, Neuroscience Commercial Strategy will drive commercial & market innovation strategy and business operations projects across the Neuroscience business (Psychiatry, Migraine, Parkinson’s Disease, and BOTOX Therapeutics).
Responsibilities
- Lead key commercial on-market strategic initiatives to maximize patient impact of in-line brands
- Partner with brand teams to develop launch strategy for launch-ready products
- Lead longer-term growth initiatives (strategy long-range planning, BD assessment, roadmap and brand planning)
- Execute opportunities to drive operational effectiveness within/across business units with cross-functional partners (e.g., Finance, HR)
- Lead development of business and operational reviews to senior Commercial and Executive leadership
- Create data-driven narratives on insights and communicate with key stakeholders and executive leadership
Collaborate with franchise brand teams and functions including Finance, Medical, R&D, Market Access, HEOR, MABI, Sales Training, Sales Force Effectiveness, Regulatory, and Customer Experience.
Qualifications
- BA/BS required; MBA or advanced degree (PhD, MD) preferred
- 5–7+ years industry experience; management consulting (2+ years), pipeline management, or pharmaceutical marketing with strong analytical and strategic marketing skills
- Experience in pharma R&D, corporate strategy, brand management and/or marketing
- Deep understanding of Neuroscience and Eye Care products (in-line and in development)
Skills/Competencies
- Identify/scope strategic initiatives; lead end-to-end project execution
- Influence without authority; strong communication/presentation; financial acumen (P&L drivers)
- Project management in matrix teams; planning/coordination; problem solving with diplomacy
- MS PowerPoint and MS Excel; experience with pre-launch/launch/on-market teams (preferred)
- Onsite requirement: at least three days (Tuesday–Thursday) in the AbbVie location
