Responsibilities:
- Directly manage, mentor, and develop Field Reimbursement Managers (FRMs); provide coaching, feedback, and professional development.
- Recruit, onboard, and train new FRMs; ensure rapid ramp-up.
- Develop and monitor regional metrics (e.g., enrollment volumes, turnaround times, PA/appeal success rates, pull-through) and hold FRMs accountable to targets.
- Oversee regional FRM MBO/incentive compensation plan alignment with national goals.
- Serve as escalation point for complex access/reimbursement issues (e.g., payer denials/appeals, specialty pharmacy issues, HUB handoffs).
- Conduct ride-alongs/field visits to evaluate best practices, understand account dynamics, and identify coaching opportunities.
- Translate national field access strategy into regional plans; optimize territory alignment, resource allocation, and coverage gaps.
- Use analytics and field feedback to identify access barriers/trends; propose and lead solutions/pilots.
- Lead regional meetings and disseminate best practices.
- Partner cross-functionally to ensure smooth operations (HUB leadership, specialty pharmacies, Market Access, Legal/Compliance, Patient Services).
Qualifications/Preferred Skills:
- Experience in rare disease, endocrinology, or high-complexity access.
- Prior management of teams of FRMs/access roles.
- Launch/post-launch access experience.
- Exposure to incentive compensation/MBO design oversight.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. payer/reimbursement, HUB/specialty pharmacy models, appeals, and prior authorization workflows.
- Ability to drive results through others; influence stakeholders and manage conflict; strong analytics mindset; excellent communication.
Preferred Education/Experience:
- Bachelorβs required; MBA/MPH/PharmD preferred.
- 12+ years in pharma/biotech/healthcare/reimbursement-access.
- 5+ years direct leadership/management (field teams preferred).
- Travel up to 60% within region.
