The Director of National Accounts (DNA) will serve as Amylyx’s primary interface with U.S. payers to support appropriate coverage and patient access planning in preparation for a potential future commercial launch.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute national and regional payer engagement strategies across commercial, Medicare Part D/MA-PD, Managed Medicaid, FFS Medicaid, VA/Tricare/DoD, and PBMs.
- Anticipate payer evidence needs and partner with HEOR and medical teams to inform value evidence and access strategy.
- Provide input on contracting considerations, distribution networks, coverage, and pharmacy-benefit dynamics.
- Build and maintain compliant relationships with payer stakeholders (pharmacy directors, medical directors, policy leaders).
- Support executive-level discussions on coverage policy, prior authorization, utilization management, and formulary review.
- Develop data-driven account plans aligned with access objectives.
- Develop payer coverage and utilization-management recommendations and payer-facing resources.
- Support launch readiness, pre-approval information exchange (PIE) planning, and mitigation planning.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with field access, medical affairs, patient services, and distribution partners.

Qualifications (Required/Preferred):
- Bachelor’s degree required; PharmD/MBA/MPH strongly preferred.
- 10+ years in pharma/biotech.
- 5+ years managing national/regional payers and PBM accounts (commercial, Medicare Part D, Medicaid, VA/Tricare/DoD, IDN).
- Proven rare disease/specialty therapy launch and/or access planning experience in pharmacy-benefit channels.
- Deep understanding of PBM models, specialty pharmacy networks, utilization management, reimbursement pathways, and payer decision-making.
- Demonstrated success presenting clinical/economic evidence and developing compliant payer-facing resources.

Skills/Abilities:
- Strategic thinking, negotiation, analytical/project management, communication, and relationship-building.
- Ability to travel 25–50%.
