Job Description
Director National Accounts to lead execution of market access and reimbursement strategies supporting DRL portfolio and future pipeline products for National Payors.
Responsibilities:
- Lead account management for assigned National Accounts: access and reimbursement strategies, formulary coverage, medical policies, contract negotiation, and relationship management.
- Build strategic relationships with Medical and Pharmacy Directors within assigned accounts; educate stakeholders on DRL biologic portfolio.
- Partner with commercial leadership/executive management to develop payer access strategy (input on offerings, pricing, contracting).
- Execute customer-specific market access strategies.
- Apply knowledge of Medicare Part A-D, Medicaid, and commercial payer policies, reimbursement processes, and coverage/payment.
- Develop/implement contract strategies to achieve reimbursement access/coverage while protecting ASP and GTN.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support brand value propositions and secure market access/formulary acceptance.
- Work with cross-functional field teams on reimbursement and product/HCP pull-through.
- Provide leadership/development to matrix teams supporting National Accounts.
- Develop senior relationships and thought-leader advocacy.
- Attend key meetings and conferences (PCMA, AMCP, Asembia).
- Review/analyze product performance and communicate payer account performance internally.
- Partner with legal and regulatory to ensure compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree required; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years direct US payer account management experience.
- 5 years managing biologics products and medical benefit drugs.
Skills/Attributes (required/preferred):
- Business planning and payer strategy development; strong problem-solving.
- Negotiation skills and financial acumen for complex customer and contractual engagements.
- National Accounts leadership with deep industry relationships.
- US product launch experience (preferred specialty drug launches).
- In-depth knowledge of compliance, reimbursement, and product access.
- Experience with HUB/co-pay and patient service providers.
- Strong communication and influence ability.
- Commercial brand planning experience; translate disease state/business drivers into payer programs.
- Ability to translate/compile data into functional reports.
- Strong cross-functional leadership/teamwork.
- Highly organized; excellent written/oral communication.
- Ability to travel up to 50%.
