Role Summary
The Director of National Accounts will lead relationships and discussions with GPO/Health System/IDN key decision makers in post-surgical pain management, focused on deploying tactics which are customized to resolve the customerโs unmet needs. The Director will align internal teams and function as a liaison for external stakeholders, to create opportunities for growth as it relates to strategic initiatives for the value proposition of Paciraโs products. The role will be responsible for all aspects of customer contracts, including strategy, execution, and management.
Responsibilities
- Deliver value-based platforms to key customers with project management including budgetary accountability.
- Responsible for key contracting, tracking and maintenance of contracts in geography
- Develop engagement strategy and account plans with target IDNs, GPOs, and ASC Chains
- Assigned project management for strategic initiatives within Pacira Biosciences.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify solutions and opportunities.
- Lead contract negotiations with Health Systems/IDNs creating opportunities for growth.
- Responsible for tracking projects and the metrics associated.
- Collaborate with internal executive team on annual planning and brand strategy
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Market Access, Sales, Marketing, Compliance, Legal, Ops, and Trade to ensure open lines of communication and cross-functional collaboration.
- Establish and maintain functional working relationships with selected key corporate customer segments to further partnership, strengthen brand awareness, and develop new business opportunities.
- Develop and present product portfolio updates to customers as requested using approved material.
- Ensure effective administrative management of regional and national business as well as operational budgets.
- Position requires at least 60 - 75 % travel.
- Adhere to relevant compliance, government, and reporting standards.
Qualifications
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with executives, sales and health care professionals.
- Demonstrated ability to incorporate working knowledge hospital system including, pharmacy, surgical services (pre-operative, intraoperative and postsurgical care), supply chain, and c-suite
- Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to coach others on use of products and clinical applications, including physicians, nurses and other health care providers.
- Proven ability to work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to work on a closely collaborative, cross-functional team.
- Demonstrated successful project management experience.
- Ability to travel swiftly and frequently (up to 75% travel throughout the year) with overnight stays. Close proximity to an airport is preferred.

- The employee is regularly required to travel by automobile as well as by airplane and other forms of public transportation. The employee is regularly required to sit or stand for long periods of time (up to several hours straight). The employee will be required to move quickly and safely in OR and other healthcare environments.
