Role: The MSL Director for Plastics & Regenerative Medicine leads a team of six MSLs, providing strategic direction, staffing, training, and field engagement for a therapeutic area focused on surgical and regenerative medicine products. Responsibilities include developing scientific interaction plans, managing team performance, coaching MSLs, ensuring high-quality stakeholder engagement, and coordinating with cross-functional teams such as Medical Affairs, Marketing, and Regulatory. The Director maintains active territory presence as the primary MSL, fostering relationships with KOLs and HCPs to gather insights and support product lifecycle activities. Additionally, the role involves operational oversightโ€”resource planning, training, compliance, and administrative managementโ€”and driving field readiness. Qualifications require an advanced health sciences degree (PhD, MD, PharmD preferred), at least 5 years of clinical, scientific, or pharma industry experience with a minimum of 2 years as an MSL, along with prior management experience. The role demands proficiency in managing multiple projects, strong communication skills, and the ability to travel approximately 50-60%. Relevant biopharma specifics include focus on surgical, regenerative medicine, and plastic surgery products, with engagement across pre-market, clinical, and post-market stages. The position is field-based, reporting to the TA Lead, with responsibilities encompassing strategic planning, external stakeholder engagement, and team leadership to support AbbVie's medical and business objectives.
