Director, Medical Information

Role: Director, Medical Information at Xenon Pharmaceuticals, leading the establishment and scaling of the MI function to support Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, and commercialization of neuroscience therapeutics. Responsibilities include developing scalable MI strategies, managing contact center operations and vendor performance, ensuring scientific response quality, maintaining compliance, and integrating data systems for actionable insights. The role emphasizes operational leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and content accuracy, supporting high-quality, compliant medical inquiry management and digital capabilities. Requirements: PhD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent; 7+ years in Medical Affairs with 5+ years in MI; expertise in scientific content authoring, inquiry handling, and regulatory standards (FDA, EMA); experience managing MI contact centers and external vendors; strong leadership, strategic thinking, and cross-functional skills. Preferred: neuroscience or epilepsy experience. The position involves managing a high-performing outsourced team, overseeing systems and analytics, and collaborating across Medical Affairs, PV/DS, Clinical Development, and IT. Travel up to 15-20% domestically and internationally. Location: Needham, MA, hybrid setup.
