Role: Director of Medical Communications, responsible for developing and executing global scientific communication strategies for ivonescimab across oncology indications including NSCLC and CRC. Main objectives include aligning internal/external messaging, supporting product launches and lifecycle management, and enhancing scientific engagement. Responsibilities encompass creating scientific narratives, overseeing content development for educational and congress activities, managing external agencies and scientific collaborations, mentoring medical writers, and ensuring compliance with industry guidelines. The role also involves leading congress planning, optimizing scientific presence, and managing communication platforms. Requirements: PhD, PharmD, or MD with 8+ years in Medical Affairs or Medical Communications within biotech/pharma, with oncology expertise (notably NSCLC and CRC). Deep understanding of industry regulations, clinical development, and real-world evidence integration is essential. Strong project management, strategic thinking, and communication skills are required. Preferred qualifications include experience managing external vendors and translating complex data into impactful scientific content. High-value specifics include focus on oncology clinical development, late-stage (Phase 3) trials, and engagement within GxP and regulatory frameworks. The position reports to the Senior Director, and is based onsite in Palo Alto, CA.
