Role Summary

Director, Marketing Sciences. Lead high-impact, cross-functional data science initiatives across therapeutic areas to drive strategic value and innovation. Establish best practices, streamline operations, and deliver measurable improvements in driving business performance, team efficiency, and cost optimization. Reports to the Sr. Director, Marketing Sciences.

Responsibilities

  • Be a partner in driving the industrialization of predictive sciences to understand the patient journey and market triggers.
  • Understand commercial objectives, develop and deploy scalable data science products and insights to influence marketing, sales, and medical decisions.
  • Lead data science projects end to end, translate business questions into data solutions, guide offshore teams, and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Foster a culture of measurement and impact; incorporate feedback to improve models.
  • Provide thought leadership in statistics and predictive methodologies to construct robust propensity models for commercial use.
  • Create reusable data science products that can be refreshed and replicated.
  • Work with peers to define retraining schedules and measure model impact.
  • Partner with global teams to share and replicate successful models across regions.
  • Communicate effectively and manage complexity where appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and 12 years of experience, or Master's Degree and 10 years, or PhD and 8 years.
  • Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms (regression, clustering, neural networks, Bayesian models, RNN, CNN, tree-based methods, SMOTE, etc.).
  • Experience building and deploying AI-based solutions with proven business impact.
  • Strong leadership and ability to manage initiatives end-to-end; effective written and verbal communication.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience implementing AI-based solutions with proven business impact; pharma/data types such as claims, activity, and standard datasets (IQVIA, Symphony, Optum, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Python and data science libraries; knowledge of cloud technologies (Databricks, S3).
  • Experience with measurement solutions in visualization tools (Tableau preferred).
  • Product mindset; understanding of product management principles; strong cross-functional collaboration.
  • Understanding of emerging data science capabilities and their application in pharma/healthcare; strong dataset literacy.
  • Advanced degree plus extensive relevant analytics experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
