Director, Marketing AI Capabilities โ Global Customer Capabilities & Innovation (GCCI)
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assess the AI, digital marketing, data, and customer engagement landscape; identify disruptive shifts in customer behaviors, content consumption, channel dynamics, and personalization expectations; translate external developments into actionable marketing capability strategies.
- Execute the Future of Marketing strategy by developing/implementing new technology, operating models, and external partnerships.
- Lead design and development of critical initiatives (including the Marketing Command Center); advise on Neural Nexis initiatives.
- Design future-state marketing operating models, workflows, governance, and processes that embed AI into day-to-day execution.
- Ensure talent initiatives align with the future marketer vision and AI-enabled capabilities.
- Manage strategic enterprise partnerships and evaluate new partnerships with AI vendors, platform providers, agencies, consultancies, and emerging tech companies.
- Lead pilot programs/POCs and build scalable approaches to integrate external solutions into Amgenโs marketing ecosystem.
- Drive readiness and adoption of AI-enabled ways of working; develop enablement strategies and programs to increase AI fluency.
- Lead cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders across commercial, digital, medical, technology, and operations.
Qualifications:
Basic: Doctorate + 4 years OR Masterโs + 6 years OR Bachelorโs + 8 years in marketing, digital, technology, or commercial operations; plus 5+ years managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams/projects/programs or directing resources.
Preferred: Knowledge of generative/agentic AI, personalization, content automation, martech platforms; omnichannel and customer engagement; cross-functional business+technology leadership; enterprise partnership management; executive communication; balance strategy and execution; enterprise mindset, builder mindset, comfort with ambiguity.
