Position Overview
- Lead the strategy, development, execution, and communication of market research and insight-generation capabilities to enable customer-centered, evidence-based decisions across the commercial organization.

Responsibilities
- Develop and lead market research/insights strategy aligned to commercial priorities and brand objectives.
- Oversee primary research (HCPs, caregivers, patients, other stakeholders) and secondary research/insight development (patient/customer behavior, market dynamics, performance trends).
- Define business questions and research objectives; ensure methodology, execution quality, and interpretation; translate findings into recommendations; drive application of insights into commercial strategy.
- Manage external market research and insights vendor partnerships (quality, budgets, alignment).
- Partner with Marketing to develop customer insights (e.g., HCP and Patient Journeys: behaviors, decision drivers, barriers, engagement opportunities).
- Co-lead cross-functional Situational Analysis integrating data sources to interpret customer insights for product performance, market trends, and competitive dynamics.
- Apply AI-enabled market research tools and generative AI (insight generation, literature review, survey analysis, reporting) with data quality/compliance.
- Evaluate/integrate AI methods (LLMs, machine learning, NLP) to improve research efficiency and business insights.
- Partner with Enterprise Analytics, Sales, and Marketing to define/evolve brand and sales force KPIs.
- Build frameworks to improve insight generation, effectiveness, reporting clarity, and decision-making.
- Influence decisions with data/insights; lead complex cross-functional initiatives; communicate clearly to senior leadership.

Required/Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA/MS/related preferred.
- 10+ years’ experience in market research/commercial insights in pharma/biotech/healthcare.
- Experience influencing senior leaders; translating insights into strategy.
- Knowledge of primary/secondary research, forecasting, competitive intelligence, and performance analytics.
- Vendor/budget management and complex cross-functional initiative leadership.
- Executive-level presentation/storytelling skills.

Pay Range
- $218,000 USD – $262,000 USD
