As the Director of Trade Strategy within Gilead’s US Market Access, you will serve as a subject matter expert and point-of-contact for internal stakeholders (Brand, Managed Markets, Government Affairs, Finance, Legal, and executive leadership) on business questions related to channel strategies and distribution networks impacting in-line and pipeline assets.

As the Director, Trade Strategy, you will:
- Serve as internal trade strategy subject matter expert for senior leadership and key partners
- Monitor trends/disruptors (Alternate Site of Care, Telehealth, Home Health, Direct-to-Patient) and update stakeholders on channel needs
- Spearhead product channel & distribution strategies; lead RFP development and vendor selection for new service needs
- Define product/portfolio service metrics and KPIs to monitor distribution networks (Wholesalers, Specialty Distributors, Retail/Specialty Pharmacies, Digital Health/Telehealth partners)
- Develop Mature Product channel strategy; support new/discontinued NDC management
- Generate insights via primary research and data analytics to inform long-term plans and support negotiation/execution of channel contracts
- Collaborate cross-functionally to incorporate channel/distribution trends into 3-year strategic planning for multiple in-line and pipeline brands
- Ensure compliant practices using SOPs; update SOPs and perform quarterly auditing
- Lead/mentor direct reports and influence diverse stakeholders; manage external consulting resources

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 10 years’ experience OR Master’s degree and 8 years’ experience OR PhD and 2 years’ experience

Preferred Qualifications:
- 12+ years relevant biotech/pharma experience (10+ with Master’s; 8+ with PhD)
- 6+ years Market Access experience developing distribution networks/channel segments (e.g., wholesalers, specialty distributors, retail/specialty pharmacies, hospitals/IDNs) and healthcare datasets (e.g., 867, 852)
- Experience operationalizing traditional and non-traditional channel strategies (home health, direct-to-patient, digital health)
- 2+ years management experience
- Strong verbal/written/interpersonal skills; project management/issue resolution
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau
