As the Director of Trade Strategy within US Market Access, serve as a subject matter expert and point-of-contact for internal stakeholders (Brand, Managed Markets, Government Affairs, Finance, Legal, and executive leadership) on channel strategies and distribution networks impacting in-line and pipeline assets. Drive trade recommendations with senior leadership and implement with Trade Account and Operations Teams.
You Will:
- Act as internal point-of-contact for trade strategy for senior leaders and partners.
- Track market trends/disruptors (e.g., Alternate Site of Care, Telehealth, Home Health, Direct-to-Patient) and communicate channel needs.
- Lead new product channel and distribution strategies; manage RFPs and vendor selection for new service needs.
- Define portfolio/product metrics and KPIs to monitor distribution networks and agreements (wholesalers, specialty distributors, retail/specialty pharmacies, digital health/telehealth partners).
- Develop mature product channel strategy; manage new/discontinued NDC handling with Trade Account, Contracts, Operations, and Regulatory.
- Generate strategic insights via primary research and data analytics to support long-term plans and channel contract negotiation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to inform 3-year strategic planning for multiple in-line and pipeline brands.
- Ensure compliance (with Auditing/Regulatory/Legal) and maintain order management SOPs.
- Lead and mentor team; manage consulting resources.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s + 10 years OR Master’s + 8 years OR PhD + 2 years.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 12+ years biotech/pharma (or 10+ with Master’s; 8+ with PhD); 6+ years Market Access in distribution networks/channel segments; experience with traditional and non-traditional channels; 2+ years management; strong communication; advanced Excel/PowerPoint/Tableau.
