The Director, Market Access Analytics will partner with Market Access and the Business Unit to develop and communicate actionable insights from secondary data analytics that shape market access, brand strategy, and tactics across customer segments. Develop and implement the analytics plan, inform business decisions, design analytical solutions, and build/socialize new analytics capabilities. Work with cross-functional partners to support data-driven decision making (hands-on; no direct reports, but manage contractors/consultants/vendors).
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement market access analytics plans; manage budget
- Identify business needs and propose analytics approaches; translate complex problems into data problems, models, and solutions
- Support contracting strategy analytics (e.g., analog assessment, deal/no deal, post-deal, patient flow, simulations)
- Develop and streamline performance reporting
- Conduct strategic analytics (archetype, payer pathway, segmentation/targeting)
- Design patient affordability, access, and reimbursement analytics (landscape/benchmarking, HUB, co-pay/out-of-pocket modeling)
- Diagnose performance and measure impact; monitor provider access; analyze payer/provider and GPO pull-through
- Partner with stakeholders; manage analytics suppliers/workbench; collaborate on specialty pharmacy analytics
- Inform data strategy and acquisition; comply with regulatory/security/privacy requirements for data assets
Qualifications & Skills:
- 12+ years pharma/biotech commercial experience (or 10+ years with MBA/MS); increasing accountability; market-leading brand experience; Insights & Analytics preferred
- BS/BA (Business Administration, Statistics, Economics, Math, Business Analytics, Marketing Research, etc.); advanced degree preferred
- Experience with pharma datasets (prescription, sales, claims/patient-level; e.g., IQVIA, Symphony)
- Knowledge of U.S. market access landscape, customers, channels; U.S. drug reimbursement/access (coverage, coding, payment) required; market access datasets (e.g., FIA, LAAD, MMIT) required
- Coding preferred: SQL, Python/PySpark, R and/or SAS
- Required: data visualization/reporting tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau or similar); advanced Excel & PowerPoint
- Required: large longitudinal/patient-level data insights; managing large secondary transactional databases
- Required: data mining/descriptive analytics/statistical methods, modeling/predictive modeling, opportunity assessment/quantification, simulation
- Strong communication/influencing to present analyses with business implications/actions
