Lead Intellectual Property Counsel (North America)

Responsibilities:
- Manage patent litigations in North America, including ANDA/ANDS, 505(b)(2), and biosimilar litigations, including post-grant patent office proceedings.
- Secure freedom-to-operate (FTO), including clearance of Orange Book and unlisted patents for bulk API, route of synthesis, finished dosage form, and polymorphs.
- Prepare ANDA patent certifications, notice letters, and detailed statements.
- Examine patents, file histories, prior art, ongoing litigations, and citizenโ€™s petitions to develop Paragraph IV and related strategies for ANDA/ANDS, 505(b)(2), and BPCIA products.
- Conduct IP due diligence and provide IP support for business development activities.
- Manage drafting and prosecution of patent applications.
- Advise internal stakeholders on pharmaceutical patent and regulatory law, including exclusivity issues and launch scenarios.

Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school; licensed to practice in New Jersey or eligible for limited NJ in-house counsel license.
- Registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (preferred).
- Minimum: Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Science or Engineering.
- Preferred: Chemistry, Biochemistry, or similar; advanced degree (highly preferred).
- 8+ years of patent litigation experience, including significant Hatch-Waxman experience.

Skills/Attributes:
- Patent litigation experience; strong Hatch-Waxman experience.
- Leadership by example; able to work independently.

Additional:
- U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident; authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
- Willing to work in person from Princeton, NJ office.
