What You Will Do
- Lead a team of ~8 Cardiovascular Key Account Managers to assess assigned accounts and plan/execute actions for success from a Cardiovascular above-brand and Amgen product perspective.
- Work internally through the matrix team and externally with key stakeholders in the West geography to achieve short- and long-term objectives.

Role Responsibilities
- Coordinate cross-functionally with Marketing, Medical, Value & Access, and others.
- Collaborate with EDs, RSDs, and DMs (CBU commercial field teams) and other business units.
- Develop geography business plans and implement national sales strategies/programs.
- Track marketing message/program progress; provide feedback to Cardiovascular above-brand and brand teams.
- Coach and manage direct reports (including resource allocation/leverage such as discretionary spend).
- Review/provide feedback on account plans.
- Manage team performance to achieve/exceed MBO and sales targets.
- Screen, interview, and hire candidates; ensure training compliance.
- Conduct annual and ongoing performance reviews and competency assessments.
- Communicate with district and cross-functional teams; share best practices.
- Coordinate/participate in matrix meetings; conduct region meetings.
- Develop local Opinion Leader relationships.

Basic Qualifications
- Doctorate degree + 4 years sales experience OR Masterโ€™s + 8 years OR Bachelorโ€™s + 10 years.
- 2 years managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams/projects/programs or directing resource allocation.

Preferred Qualifications
- 8+ years biopharmaceutical (biologics, buy & bill model).
- 6+ years managerial experience with customer-facing teams.
- Advanced degree (e.g., MPH/MBA/PharmD) and 7+ years healthcare sales/marketing (or related buying-process/decision-making experience).
- Experience with payers/integrated health systems, key account management, and portfolio responsibility; strong cross-functional leadership.
- Ability to build field-based teams; recruit/hire capable account managers.
- Knowledge of local payor coverage; clinical concepts/data articulation; use of clinical info for objections.
- Experience with Medical teams (MSLs, platform development, health outcomes & pharmacoeconomics evidence) is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills; ability to set appropriate short- and long-term objectives.
