What You'll Do
- Highly technical, strategic IT partner and hands-on technical owner for People, Legal, and Corporate Communications (individual contributor; no direct reports initially).
- Own a 12β36 month technology & AI roadmap; translate priorities into architecture and delivery plans; make technical/vendor decisions within delegated authority.
- Collaborate on core platform programs (e.g., Workday, Greenhouse, Enterprise CLM, CounselLink) and drive enterprise-wide AI initiatives for operational adoption.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical architecture and platform engineering leadership: design reference architectures, define capabilities/integration requirements, set vendor acceptance criteria.
- Own the 12β36 month technology & AI roadmap: prioritize investments, publish KPIs, make decisions within delegated thresholds.
- Lead enterprise-wide AI strategy: sponsor pilots, scale to production, enforce governance/privacy controls, represent IT in cross-functional AI governance.
- Co-create governance/change-control/escalation models with People Operations, Legal Operations, and Corporate Communications; deliver runbooks and training.
- Steward People platforms: define technical requirements, manage vendor execution, support testing/go-live, enable steady-state operations for Workday, VNDLY, Greenhouse, and related systems.
- Drive CLM and Legal systems: lead enterprise CLM selection/rollout; steward matter/invoicing and commercial compliance tooling; ensure required integrations.
- Steward Corporate Communications platforms/workflows: translate needs into technical requirements; manage vendors; ensure content governance, measurement, and compliance alignment.
- Lead vendor lifecycle for medium/large investments (RFPs, technical selection, contracting, negotiation, governance).
- Own vendor commercial terms and SLAs; coordinate security/privacy/compliance assessments; run quarterly governance and maintain vendor scorecards.
- Provide technical oversight to vendors/contingent workers: acceptance criteria, review deliverables, approve in-scope production releases; drive remediation/decommissioning when standards arenβt met.
- Own operational readiness and post-launch support: incident response, monitoring dashboards, continuous improvement, and audit readiness (SOX/GxP/privacy).
Who You Are (Qualifications & Skills)
- Education & experience: BS in Computer Science/Information Systems (or equivalent); ~8+ years delivering enterprise-ready People/Legal/Corporate Communications technology; 3+ years at senior technical/architect level.
- Technical architect/implementer: enterprise platform architecture, SaaS implementations, API/data design, security, production operations.
- Strategic roadmap owner: proven experience with multi-year roadmaps, executable programs, and KPIs.
- Enterprise AI leader: define/deliver AI strategy; sponsor pilots; scale production services with governance and cross-functional adoption.
- Domain/process flexibility; work with SMEs.
- People platform: Workday experience (design/deployment/enterprise integrations); familiarity with VNDLY and Greenhouse.
- CLM & Legal systems: CLM, commercial compliance, matter and invoicing systems in production.
- Corporate Communications tech: exposure to communications/content management/intranet/digital distribution platforms; translate comms needs into technical requirements.
- Vendor & commercial operator: run technical RFPs, negotiate contracts, own SLAs, run vendor governance/remediation.
- Vendor oversight judgment: define acceptance criteria, evaluate deliverables, approve releases without owning execution.
- Operations & compliance stewardship: incident response, monitoring, continuous improvement; SOX/GxP/privacy context experience.
- Influential communicator/change agent: influence senior stakeholders and drive adoption.
- Curiosity and adaptability with AI-powered tools and technologies.
