Director, Inventory and Cost Accounting

Role: Lead the development and management of Amylyx's inventory and cost of sales accounting functions in preparation for commercialization. Responsibilities: establish scalable processes, policies, controls, and workflows, oversee monthly/quarterly close activities, manage inventory valuation and variances, and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP; partner with Supply Chain, FP&A, IT, and external manufacturers; support SOX controls and audit readiness; lead inventory build strategies for product launches and manufacturing expansions; develop team and build scalable practices. Requirements: Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related; 12+ years in inventory and cost accounting within biotech, pharmaceutical, or life sciences; experience implementing inventory processes in a public company; deep U.S. GAAP knowledge; proficiency with ERP systems, especially NetSuite; prior experience with contract manufacturing and global supply chains; 3-5 years leadership experience.
