Role: Senior Intellectual Property (IP) Attorney supporting IDEAYA's small molecule oncology portfolio. Responsibilities: manage global IP portfolio, including patent preparation and prosecution; develop IP strategies; conduct freedom-to-operate and patent landscape analyses; support business development through IP due diligence; oversee external counsel and ensure compliance; contribute to IP infrastructure and training. Requirements: Ph.D. in Chemistry (preferably Organic Chemistry), Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school, California Bar membership or qualification as In-House Counsel, and USPTO registration; 7+ years in pharmaceutical IP, with 2-3 years in-house; proven success in patent strategy and securing protection; strong analytical, communication, and database skills. High-Value: experience with small molecule therapeutics in oncology, patent lifecycle management, global IP regulation, and collaboration with R&D teams. WorkSetup: onsite in South San Francisco, with some work-from-home flexibility; requires full COVID-19 vaccination.
