Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and improve a systematic evaluation of performance for a Novartis field team across therapy areas and brands.
- Develop field-team KPIs aligned to strategic goals in coordination with Insights & Analytics and TA/brand IPSTs.
- Review and improve processes to uncover field pain points and drivers of success.
- Establish local opportunity identification in partnership with field organizations.
- Support field leadership with performance metrics and evaluations for responsive, strategic decisions.
- Establish near-real-time awareness of field-team performance.
- Provide analytics on HCP, Account, and Medical Expert engagement.
- Monitor adherence to internal tools/recommendations (e.g., HCP prioritization, call plans, follow-ups) and compare high vs. low adopters.
- Upskill/mentor team members; drive continuous process and evaluation improvement.
- Identify threats/opportunities via competitive benchmarking.
- Partner with Resource Optimization on quantifying sales force value.
- Partner with Functional Excellence on leadership dashboards/reporting solutions and consult on metrics/data.

Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Marketing, Life Sciences, or related; MBA/advanced degree preferred.
- 8+ years in pharmaceutical/life sciences consulting or healthcare; strong statistics, field force operations, and sales strategy knowledge.
- Background in rare disease.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to derive actionable insights.
- Experience developing and implementing KPIs for field force performance.
- Experience managing field activities (engagement strategies, sample distribution, tool adherence).
- Data-driven coaching; experience with feedback loops and incentive programs.
- Excellent communication; ability to present insights to diverse stakeholders.
- Cross-functional collaboration (medical, access, commercial).
- Strong leadership, negotiation/persuasion, and analytical judgment.
- Thrive in fast-paced environments and adapt to changing priorities.

Travel/Location:
- East Hanover, NJ or Cambridge, MA; not remote; 10% travel (domestic and/or international).

Compensation/Benefits (if eligible):
- Salary expected $185,500–$344,500/year; performance cash incentive; possible annual equity depending on level.
