Role Summary

Director, HIV Franchise Marketing, OLP Peer-to-Peer Strategy โ€“ HIV PrEP at Gilead leads the development and execution of innovative peer-to-peer initiatives that engage healthcare professionals and drive impact across the HIV PrEP Business Unit. This highly visible role influences a $13B HIV Business Unit, shaping strategies that advance education, awareness, and adoption of best practices in patient care. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and strong leader with proven capability in speaker bureau management and peer-to-peer content creation, requiring collaboration with diverse internal stakeholders and external opinion leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic and tactical plans for peer-to-peer programming across virtual and live formats, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Translate scientific and clinical insights into actionable commercial strategies and engaging peer-to-peer programs.
  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness using dashboards and metrics; implement improvements based on outcomes.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, medical, sales, and field leadership to ensure coordinated execution and maximize impact.
  • Navigate internal review processes to ensure all materials comply with regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Provide clear, innovative thinking and communication, including designing and delivering presentations for internal and external audiences.
  • Manage agency partnerships and budgets to execute strategic and tactical initiatives effectively.
  • Track HIV landscape trends to identify insights and opportunities; recommend strategies for opinion leader engagement.
  • Contribute to long- and short-term brand strategies for U.S. HIV PrEP BU.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelorโ€™s Degree and Twelve Years' Experience; OR Masterโ€™s Degree and Ten Years' Experience; OR PhD/PharmD and Eight Years' Experience.
  • Preferred: Ability to travel up to 30%, domestically to conferences, advisory boards, and agency meetings.
  • Preferred: 10 years of experience in Marketing or Medical Affairs within Pharma/Biotech with a BA/BS OR 8 years with MA/MS OR 4 years with PhD.
  • Preferred: HIV Therapeutic Area experience strongly preferred.
  • Preferred: 5+ years of brand development and marketing preferred or 5+ years in Medical Affairs including advisory boards and HCP education.
  • Preferred: Proven track record of marketing fundamentals, including advisory boards, brand plan development and execution, strategy and sales and commercial programs.

Education

  • Degree requirements correspond to Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's, Masterโ€™s, or PhD/PharmD with corresponding years of experience as listed above.
