Job Description
Leads the development and execution of projects for multiple on-market and/or pipeline development assets across multiple geographies. Serves as the brand/asset leader representing HEOR on cross-functional teams and in pipeline commercialization. Accountable for HEOR strategies and execution; aligns project plans with product strategy, commercial interests, and scientific integrity. Ensures no overlap across TA assets and leverages efforts across the therapeutic area; provides execution updates to products and functional management. Liaises with product team members to generate innovative ideas and secure buy-in to strategies.
Responsibilities
- Oversees design and conduct of multiple programs; communicates findings and strategic impact to internal (Executive Leadership, Area VPs, GMs) and external audiences (HTAs/Payors, patient advocacy groups, KOLs)
- Leads HEOR strategy with cross-functional brand teams
- Determines global development strategy with cross-functional leaders; contributes to Therapeutic Area Long Range Plan and Portfolio Planning
- Drives design and aggressive execution of high-quality HEOR programs meeting ethical, scientific, regulatory, commercial, and quality requirements
- Post-marketing: develops and executes product life-cycle and labeling strategies; ensures scientific and communication excellence of data elements agreed by the matrix team
- Ensures end-to-end delivery of HEOR book of work (strategy to content pull-through)
- Partners with relevant HEOR COE functions to ensure a comprehensive HEOR voice in cross-functional meetings
- Provides executive presence with ability to engage senior leaders; may manage two or more direct reports
Qualifications
- Advanced degree (MD, PharmD, MS in Economics/Econometrics/(pharmaco)epidemiology)
- 10+ years experience (Masterβs); 7+ years (PhD; fellowship may count); health-field training plus
- Experience leading complex products/clinical development supporting pipeline and on-market support (pharma industry preferred)
- Ability to direct compliance knowledgeably in complex regulatory environments
- Ability to develop creative solutions to priority conflicts/resource constraints
- Extensive knowledge of global regulatory, HTA, and PR&A landscape; understanding of drug development phases
- Proven cross-functional global leadership; ability to act as HEOR champion/spokesperson
- High goal-orientation, self-starter, and ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage scientific personnel
