Role Summary
Director, HEOR Strategy Lead β Gastroenterology (UC) leads the development and execution of HEOR strategy and initiatives for multiple on-market assets and/or indications. Represents HEOR on cross-functional teams and in pipeline commercialization efforts, shaping brand/asset/enterprise strategies with subject matter expertise. Aligns product plans with matrix and commercial strategies, ensuring no overlap across TA assets, and provides updates to cross-functional partners and management.
Responsibilities
- HEOR strategy lead interacting with cross-functional brand teams responsible for developing an evidence strategy to support the overall brand strategy
- Determine, in collaboration with cross functional leaders, the global development strategy for new or marketed products and contribute to the Therapeutic Area Long Range Plan and Portfolio Planning
- Drives the design and aggressive execution of a high quality HEOR program supporting the therapeutic area strategy for on-market products that effectively and efficiently meets ethical, scientific, regulatory, commercial, and quality requirements
- In the post-marketing setting, develops and executes product life-cycle and labeling strategies in collaboration with scientific and commercial team members across the TA portfolio
- Responsible for the scientific and communication excellence of all data elements agreed to by the matrix team, and for communicating findings and strategic impact to internal and external audiences
- Oversees the design and conduct of multiple programs and communicates findings to Executive Leadership, Area VPs, GMs, HTAs/Payors, patient advocacy groups, and KOLs
- Accountable for end-to-end delivery of HEOR book of work from strategy development to content pull through
- Ensures strong partnership with all relevant HEOR COE functions to represent a comprehensive HEOR voice in cross-functional meetings
- Maintains executive presence and engages with senior leaders in cross-functional settings
Qualifications
- Advanced degree, MD, PhD, PharmD, MS in Economics, Econometrics, or (pharmaco)epidemiology
- Minimum of ten years working experience with Masterβs; seven years with PhD/PharmD (fellowship experience considered)
- Experience leading complex products and/or clinical development in support of on-market product support; pharmaceutical industry experience preferred
- Ability to navigate uncharted territory and complex regulatory requirements; capable of directing compliance knowledgeably and expeditiously
- Ability to develop creative solutions to priority conflicts, resource constraints, and other challenges across multiple programs
- Extensive knowledge of global regulatory, HTA and PR&A landscape and related development functions across drug development phases
- Proven leadership in a cross-functional global team; ability to interact with Senior Management and act as HEOR project/group champion
- High goal-orientation, self-starter, and drive to achieve commercial success; capable of leading cross-functional teams and managing scientific personnel
- Position will support Ulcerative Colitis and Crohnβs Disease for the US Market
