Role Summary
Director, Global Compound Market Access Leader, Neuroscience (2 positions) located in Raritan, NJ. Lead the global market access strategy for Neuroscience products, driving value generation, payer engagement, and reimbursement strategies aligned with the global brand plan. Oversees cross-functional market access activities and collaborates with Clinical Development, R&D, and commercial teams to ensure access and value delivery across regions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the global market access strategy for the brand(s) and drive the Compound Market Access Team (CMAT) to deliver the strategy and key value communication tools.
- Strategize and implement payer value generation and access programs with potential accelerated path to market.
- Serve as a leading resource on access strategies within global clinical and commercial product teams and disease area strategy groups.
- Integrate pricing, payer research, health economics, and epidemiology information to develop the optimal value strategy.
- Coordinate with Regional Market Access/Health Economics/Ontcomes Research and Medical Affairs to develop real-world evidence for access programs.
- Develop an integrated access strategy reflecting macro and disease-specific factors.
- Ensure clinical development programs capture value for payers, physicians, and patients; provide strategic advice on populations, trial design, endpoints, and protocol implementation.
- Drive health outcomes studies, including literature reviews, Real World Evidence, and cost-effectiveness/budget impact models.
- Educate commercial and R&D teams on key access trends and opportunities.
- Provide leadership to the Clinical Development Team on market access data needs and advocate for data supporting positive reimbursement globally.
- Manage market access discretionary budgets and ensure spending aligns with plans.
- Develop deep expertise in neuropsychiatry market access drivers and influence external reimbursement approaches.
- Stay up-to-date with scientific developments to strengthen value propositions; understand patient perspectives to inform payer negotiations.
Qualifications
- Market Access Landscape: Deep understanding of payers, pricing, reimbursement, and health policy in US/EMEA markets.
- Healthcare Ecosystem: Ability to navigate external healthcare environments and influence policymaking organisms.
- Health Technology Assessment: Knowledge of evidence-based methodologies for evaluating health technologies.
- Market Access Analytics: Proficiency in modeling, pricing, contracting, and real-world evidence generation.
- Evidence Generation: Ability to apply data science to articulate value propositions and support trial design and analyses; knowledge of meta-analysis and epidemiology.
- Clinical Trial Methodology: Understanding of trial design and implications for labeling and endpoints.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
Education
- Ph.D., Pharm D, MD, or M.Sc. in Epidemiology, Health Economics, Public Health, or Health Policy (or related field).
- 10 years of professional experience in pharmaceutical or adjacent industry with focus in Epidemiology, Health Economics, Payer Access.
- 8 years of experience with reimbursement environments in key international markets.
- Strong experience across multiple therapy areas; demonstrated leadership in a matrix organization across geographies.
- This position is based in Raritan, NJ, with up to 30% travel.
