Job Description Summary
The Director, Global Compensation and Equity leads and evolves the company’s global compensation function, ensuring programs are competitive, equitable, scalable, and aligned with business strategy and talent philosophy.

Key Responsibilities
- Global Compensation Strategy: Evolve and execute global compensation strategy, philosophy, and principles; ensure programs support business objectives and engagement; evaluate market trends and emerging practices.
- Compensation Program Leadership: Lead annual compensation planning (merit, promotions, bonus planning, salary structures); oversee salary benchmarking/market pricing; partner with regional HR for local relevance with global consistency; support executive/leadership compensation analyses.
- Equity & Executive Compensation Support: Lead operational support for annual equity planning/admin; support special equity analyses/grants/projects; prepare materials for senior leadership and the Compensation Committee; ensure equity governance/documentation.
- Compensation Governance & Compliance: Ensure compliance with compensation regulations (including pay transparency and country-specific requirements); monitor regulatory changes; establish governance for consistency and audit readiness.
- Job Architecture & Frameworks: Partner to evolve job architecture, salary structures, job leveling, and career frameworks; ensure consistency across functions/regions.
- Compensation Operations & Continuous Improvement: Develop policies/procedures/templates/playbooks/SOPs; drive standardization and continuous improvement; simplify processes to improve employee/manager experience.
- HR Technology Partnership: Partner with People Systems to optimize Workday Compensation; support design/testing/implementation of compensation tech solutions; ensure effective system governance.
- Leadership: Lead/coach/develop the global compensation team.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Partner with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, People Systems, regional HR, Finance, and Legal; serve as a trusted advisor; develop/deliver training and communications.

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Finance, or related field.
- 10+ years progressive compensation experience in multinational/global organizations.
- Experience leading annual compensation planning cycles.
- Experience designing/administering broad-based compensation programs.
- Experience leading/developing compensation professionals.
- Knowledge of compensation governance, market pricing, job evaluation, salary structures.
- Experience partnering with HR technology teams; Workday Compensation/HRIS.
- Knowledge of global compensation regulations, including pay transparency.
- High integrity, discretion, professionalism with sensitive data.

Preferred:
- Master’s degree or Certified Compensation Professional (CCP).
- Pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry experience.
- Equity administration and executive compensation experience.
- Experience developing compensation philosophies/governance/operational standards.
- Experience leading organizational change and process improvement.

Benefits
- Eligible employees may enroll in medical, dental, vision, and retirement savings plans; short- and long-term incentives (in addition to base salary).
- Expected Base Salary Range: $195,000 - $230,000.
