Role Summary

Director of Franchise Operations for Global Rare Diseases provides operational excellence across the Global Rare Diseases franchise. This highly visible role drives cross-functional coordination, strategic planning, and operational effectiveness to support the franchise's commercial objectives. The position requires leading complex initiatives, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring operational excellence across global brand teams while partnering with commercial functions, Investor Relations, and other key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the earnings process, working cross-functionally with brand teams and Investor Relations
  • Manage and facilitate monthly global brand lead forums to drive information sharing, foster discussions, and ensure strategic alignment
  • Provide strategic coordination across the franchise to optimize resource allocation and drive synergies
  • Lead the development and implementation of franchise-wide operational standards and best practices
  • Lead operational excellence initiatives, process improvements and other time-bound projects across Global Rare Diseases
  • Continue to drive and manage the new hire onboarding program to accelerate integration and effectiveness

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor's degree; Advanced degree preferred (MBA, MS, PharmD)
  • Required: 7+ years pharmaceutical industry experience or related industry
  • Required: Proven track record in operational leadership roles
  • Required: Strong understanding of global pharmaceutical commercial operations
  • Required: Excellence in project and program management
  • Required: Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority
  • Required: Experience managing complex stakeholder relationships
  • Required: Excellent problem-solving and decision making
  • Required: Strong financial and business acumen
  • Preferred: Demonstrated experience in rare diseases or specialty therapeutic areas
  • Preferred: PMP certification
  • Preferred: Global or international market experience
  • Preferred: Experience with earnings processes and investor relations
  • Preferred: Digital transformation experience
  • Preferred: Congress management expertise
  • Preferred: Alliance management experience
  • Required: 10% domestic and international travel for key congresses and global meetings
