Role: Lead and scale a specialized team of translational scientists in Natera's Oncology Business Unit, focusing on advanced cfDNA and MRD assays. Responsibilities include developing regional data engagement strategies, overseeing data systems and compliance, managing investigator-led trials, and representing scientific authority at major oncology events. The role involves up to 70% regional travel to engage with academic medical centers and research partnerships. Key focus areas include liquid biopsy modalities, ctDNA workflows, genomic data management, and real-world evidence generation. Collaborates closely with internal medical, scientific, and product teams to translate field data into pipeline insights. Requirements: PhD or MD in Cancer Biology, Genomics, or related fields; 6+ years of oncology research experience with 2+ years of leadership in diagnostics or biotech sectors; deep expertise in cancer genetics, liquid biopsies, NGS, and clinical data integration; proven success managing complex genomic datasets and institutional EMR systems; high mobility for domestic travel. Preferred: experience in translational oncology, investigator-led trial oversight, and biobank or data-sharing initiatives. High-value specifics: focus on cell-free DNA, minimal residual disease, liquid biopsy modalities, genomics, clinical utility, and regulatory compliance within oncology.
