Director, Field Medical, Rheumatology - East

Role: Director, Field Medical – Rheumatology, East, overseeing and mentoring a team of Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) to enhance scientific engagement with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders in alignment with Takeda's medical strategies. Responsibilities: lead team performance, develop and execute annual tactical plans, ensure scientific accuracy and compliance, foster team development, and build cross-functional relationships. Develop scientific expertise within rheumatology, provide training on therapeutic products and clinical data, and manage MSL participation in professional congresses. Qualifications: doctoral degree in life/health sciences (PharmD, MD, PhD) preferred; minimum master's required. Extensive experience in pharmaceutical Medical Affairs, with proven leadership and team management skills. Strong communication, digital tools proficiency, and knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards are essential. High-Value: focus on rheumatology, therapeutic area expertise, experience with clinical or scientific roles, ability to travel 40-60%, and based in the East region of the U.S., with virtual work setup.
