The Role
Director, Facilities & Workplace Solutions—guide the strategic direction of US workplace environments; lead a team of regular and contract employees; oversee vendors/service partners; ensure facilities operations meet local regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:
- Implement strategic plans for real estate and facility management in Princeton, NJ; Berkeley Heights, NJ; and Cambridge, MA (may expand to additional sites in North/South America).
- Supervise day-to-day facility operations and collaborate in a highly matrixed environment.
- Recruit, lead, and develop Workplace team members.
- Cultivate an agile approach focused on quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Implement and maintain local safety, security, and emergency response plans and procedures.
- Ensure facilities comply with environmental and safety regulations.
- Plan and oversee facility-related projects (capital and process improvement); some global projects may be required.
- Manage the budget and ensure spending aligns with approved financial plans.
- Implement procurement strategies for cost efficiency and value creation.
- Build and maintain vendor and landlord/broker relationships.
- Support CSRD strategy and lead sustainability initiatives across Dutch locations.
- Onsite role at the Princeton, NJ site.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).
- 12+ years in biotech/pharma (or related), with significant facility management exposure.
- Experience overseeing laboratory and manufacturing facilities.
- Management experience leading diverse teams in complex environments.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Hospitality/service orientation; attention to detail.
- Ability to balance strategic and operational considerations.
- Experience interpreting complex information to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong digital literacy, including advanced MS Office.
- 10% travel required.
