Purpose/Responsibilities:
- Own enterprise executive compensation philosophy and program architecture (base pay, annual incentive, long-term incentive, executive benefits/perquisites).
- Advise CEO/CHRO/CFO/senior leaders; partner with Board Compensation & Benefits Committee.
- Lead planning and delivery of CEO/CHRO/CFO and Board materials (annual cycles, special topics, ad hoc requests).
- Oversee executive market benchmarking and competitive intelligence; design peer groups.
- Drive continuous improvement/transform executive compensation processes and governance.
- Oversee executive lifecycle compensation decisions/administration (reviews, promotions, offers, transitions, separation arrangements).
- Own disclosure strategy/delivery (CD&A, proxy compensation tables, analyses for public filings).
- Oversee proxy advisor readiness and modeling (ISS/Glass Lewis); scenario planning.
- Monitor executive compensation regulation/disclosures/accounting/tax implications and shareholder voting trends; translate into governance recommendations.
- Set executive compensation communications strategy.
- Lead cross-functional work with Legal, Finance/Accounting, Tax, Audit, Total Rewards, and independent consultant.
- Build/lead/coach executive compensation team.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelorβs degree required; advanced degree strongly preferred.
- 12+ years executive and equity compensation experience; 5+ years people leadership.
- Strong written/verbal communication; executive-ready materials.
- Judgment, discretion, data-driven recommendations, analytical and financial/governance acumen.
Preferred:
- MBA or advanced degree (HR/Business/Finance/Economics or related).
- Experience in highly regulated publicly traded global company; healthcare/life sciences preferred.
