Summary
- Director, Enterprise Employer Access – Cell Therapy: Lead upstream engagement with employers and intermediaries to influence benefit design decisions for CAR-T and future cell/gene therapies before carve-outs, COE mandates, or site-of-care requirements are finalized.
Responsibilities
- Build and manage a prioritized portfolio of employer decision networks (self-insured employers, benefits consultants, TPAs, specialty benefit/cell carve-out vendors, employer-facing clinical/navigation partners).
- Establish sustained education relationships focused on high-cost therapy benefit design philosophy, total cost of care/episode economics, and workforce productivity/disability avoidance/long-term value.
- Engage before annual benefit cycles to inform cell therapy drug carve-outs, COE/site-of-care frameworks, and utilization management approaches.
- Tailor messaging to HR/benefits and finance/CFO-aligned decision-makers and consultant-led benefit committees.
- Partner with payer/regional market access and provider/community oncology partners; support aligned employer-provider discussions.
- Capture employer insights to inform market access, contracting/value frameworks, and policy/advocacy; identify trends in carve-outs, vendor models, utilization controls.
- Track leading indicators (avoided/modified carve-outs, improved site-of-care alignment, earlier engagement).
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree (advanced degree preferred).
- 10+ years in market access, employer benefits, payer strategy, or related roles.
- Deep understanding of self-insured employer benefit design, specialty drug economics/medical benefit dynamics, and payer vs employer decision authority.
- Proven ability to engage senior non-clinical stakeholders (HR, Finance, Benefits).
- Experience with complex, high-cost therapies (oncology/specialty/rare disease/cell-gene therapy).
Preferred:
- Experience with employer consultants/TPAs and episode-of-care/total cost of care frameworks.
- Executive presence translating clinical value to business impact.
- Comfort in strategic “white-space” roles.
Work Location & Travel
- Fully remote within the United States; home-based office.
- ~50% travel for in-person meetings and select employer/provider engagements.
Compensation & Benefits (as stated)
- US: $196,390–$237,982; additional incentive cash/stock may be available.
