Role: Lead enterprise architecture for data, AI, and integration within a regulated biopharma environment, supporting Alnylam's RNAi therapeutics platform. Responsibilities: define reference architectures, technical standards, and governance patterns; oversee architecture review processes; prototype and validate architecture decisions; design data governance enforcement layers; establish scalable patterns across clinical, regulatory, safety, manufacturing, and commercial domains; collaborate with cross-functional technology leaders to ensure security, coherence, and regulatory compliance. Requirements: 10+ years in architecture or engineering roles, with experience in biotech, pharma, or regulated environments; proficiency in building enterprise-scale production systems, hands-on coding, and platform design; working knowledge of GxP systems, 21 CFR Part 11, EU Annex 11, GAMP 5; experience with regulated data domains such as clinical, regulatory, safety, quality, manufacturing, commercial; expertise in data governance and AI governance standards. Preferred: familiarity with modern data and AI tools (e.g., Snowflake, AWS, Collibra), AI governance, vendor AI assessments, platform development in regulated sectors, prior leadership of technical teams. Work Setup: hybrid in Cambridge, MA, with minimal travel.
