Director, Cyber Architecture & Engineering

Role: Lead the development and execution of Alnylam’s cybersecurity architecture strategy, focusing on enabling innovation while safeguarding scientific assets and patient data. Responsibilities: define enterprise security target state, design and evolve a Zero Trust architecture, establish cybersecurity standards, and ensure security integration into major initiatives. Collaborate with IT and business teams to align architecture with broader technology goals; oversee engineering execution for resilient security capabilities; guide vendor selection and solution design; implement governance and risk management through architecture reviews and metrics; mentor security architects and engineers. Qualifications: Bachelor’s in computer science, cybersecurity, or related; 10+ years in cybersecurity with 8+ years in leadership roles; recognized certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP); deep expertise in IAM, cloud security, Zero Trust, and data protection; familiarity with frameworks like NIST CSF and 800-53; strong stakeholder influence and strategic execution skills; excellent communication.
