Key Responsibilities
- Advise Global and US business colleagues on initiatives by addressing legal/compliance risks and protecting integrity/reputation.
- Serve as Compliance representative on leadership and cross-functional teams, providing strategic/tactical guidance for fact- and risk-based decisions.
- Partner with OBIE Training & Communications on Compliance trainings and regular communications.
- Stay current on laws/regulations/codes and enforcement actions (US and international) and educate business colleagues with tailored communications.
- Help establish standards and implement procedures to ensure the Compliance Program is effective and efficient.
- Maintain strong relationships and collaborate with Legal, HR, Internal Audit, and other functional areas globally.
- Support continuous improvement of the Global Compliance Program.
Qualifications / Skills
- 8β10 years post-JD experience providing legal counsel in biotechnology/pharmaceutical (in-house global preferred; or law firm + in-house).
- Strong ability to communicate legal advice to lawyers and non-lawyers and understand business needs.
- Expert knowledge of commercial/development/medical affairs legal requirements, including FDCA/FDA guidance, anti-kickback statutes, OIG guidance/opinions, False Claims Act, and PhRMA Code.
- Demonstrated commitment to Compliance, ethics, and accountability.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; as-needed travel.
- Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
- Law degree and legal experience required.
Compensation
- Pay range: $200,000β$300,000; eligible for annual bonus and annual equity awards.
