Key Responsibilities
- Own design, implementation, administration, communication, and governance of all non-executive compensation programs (broad-based, equity, and future commercial/sales structures).
- Create compensation frameworks/processes to support consistent, competitive compensation decisions for VP and below.
- Lead compensation strategy and execution: broad-based (benchmarking, job architecture/leveling, salary structures, focal reviews), commercial & sales incentive design/governance, and equity administration (with Legal/Finance/Payroll/vendors).
- Support executive compensation and Compensation Committee materials via benchmarking, analyses, modeling, and recommendations.
- Ensure compliance and strong governance; deliver compensation analytics and monitor compensation market trends.
Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree required (Business/Finance/Accounting/Economics or related); MBA or CPA preferred.
- 10+ years progressive compensation experience in biotech/pharma/life sciences; compensation consulting experience preferred.
- Deep expertise in VP-and-below broad-based compensation (base, annual incentives, equity, new-hire offers, promotions, retention, off-cycle).
- Expert knowledge of market pricing/comp survey methodology and job architecture/leveling/range structures.
- Advanced quantitative/financial modeling (cost projections, scenarios, pay compression, equity modeling).
- Strong data governance and reconciliation across HRIS/payroll/equity/planning/market data; advanced Excel required.
- Ability to translate complex analyses into decision-ready executive presentations and recommendations.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base pay range: $230,000β$250,000 annually; total compensation includes equity, bonus, and benefits.
